The Winter Haircare Routine.

Winter Haircare Products Routine

We have talked about Winter Skincare plenty in the last couple of months. But there is more to adjust in your beauty regimen than your skincare products when it comes to the colder months. I always like to switch up my hair care products to give my hair back some moisture that it definitely loses in those dry periods of the year.

So today I am sharing with you my current winter hair care products.

Winter Haircare Products Routine Matrix Wella

The Shampoo

I have recently started using Matrix products. They are actually the most affordable salon-grade products I have come across yet. And what can I say, I adore them! The Matrix High Amplify shampoo gives my hair the volume that it tends to lose when I work with a lot of hair oils. This shampoo feels clean without drying and nourishing without making my hair heavy. I adore it.

The Conditioner

I was initially planning on picking up the Matrix High Amplify conditioner to go with my shampoo. But as I use conditioner only in the lengths on my hair, I wanted something more nourishing that might help my damaged hair. The Matrix Re-Bond conditioner is amazing! Honestly, it gives me a similar effect to the Olaplex products I used to use when I was bleaching my hair.

The Mask

Every weekend I like to treat my hair to a hair mask. And my current product of choice is the Wella Professionals Oil Reflections mask. After shampooing my hair (and not using conditioner!) I apply the mask generously and leave it for a couple of hours, depending on how much time I have. Then I rinse it with cold water and my hair is silky soft. When my hair is struggling majorly I even use the hair mask instead of conditioner after every wash for a couple of weeks. It does wonders for the structure of my hair!

The Oils

One thing that I need all year round and especially in the wintertime is a good hair oil. And recently I have been using two. The Wella SP Luxe Oil is the one I use in the morning in the ends of my hair to give it a nice shine and make it look less frizzy. The Matrix Oil Wonder Indian Amla oil is the one I use in the night and then put up my hair in a bun to let it soak in. But be careful, with these oils you would really only use 1-2 pumps depending on the length of your hair. Try also to focus on the ends and don't use it on the roots of your hair.

What are your winter hair care products that you can't live without?

What Fits In My Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Mini.

Recently I revealed my latest designer addition to my wardrobe on Instagram: The Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Mini. You guys had loads of questions about it and the most common one would be about the sizing and what it actually fits. So today I thought I would share with you what I carry around with me in my new bag.

The Dionysus comes in a range of different colours and sizes. As far as I know, this is the second smallest one. There is also the "super mini", which is obviously ... super mini. It did not fit my iPhone so this was a no-go for me. I also really liked the "small", but the mini is just more comfortable to wear as a crossbody. And I wear most of my bags crossbody so this made my decision much easier.

It very easily fits my iPhone 11 Pro Max with a regular case on it. I like to keep it in the front pouch of the bag, as the lining of this compartment is coated canvas and not suede like the lining of the main compartment. I tend to have makeup sticking to my phone so I would like to avoid staining the suede lining.

In addition to my phone, I always carry around my keyholder, cardholder, some medicine in a small pouch, a lipstick, a mirror, facemask and my AirPods. This is all I need on a daily basis and I love that all of it fits perfectly in the bag.

I can wear the bag very comfortably as a crossbody and it sits perfectly on my hips. I am 5,7 or 170 for reference. You can double up the chain and wear it as a shoulder bag but I find this less comfortable and practical. But I like that it is an option if I ever change my mind.

How do you like the Dionysus bags?

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder | Worth It?

There are some makeup products you hear about constantly. When you think about popular setting powders I am pretty sure the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder would be very high on your list. So after I ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury one, I decided to splurge on this very hyped powder. So today I thought I would share with you my thoughts on it. Is it really worth the hype?

Firstly I have to say that the packaging looks very chic. I love the minimal design and the frosted look of the jar. It contains 29 grams, which really is a lot of product. Most of the setting powders I have used before, come with around 10 grams. So maybe that makes the price a bit more justified.

In general, I am a fan of translucent powders as I love that I don't have to worry about finding the right shade for me. However, keep in mind that most translucent powders aren't as translucent as they claim to be. They often can add a slight white layer on your face, so maybe that is something to keep in mind when you have a deeper complexion. However, at least on me I find this powder very translucent and have not noticed any white-ish cast on my skin. If you prefer a non-translucent powder, Laura Mercier also does this powder in different shades.

The brand claims that the powder gives you a soft-focus effect to your skin and I really can see what they mean. My skin looks perfected without looking fake or cakey. The powder itself feels very soft, almost fluffy. It doesn't feel as dry as most powders tend to do. It almost feels hydrating. Also, my foundation and concealer seem to last a bit longer than usual. So for me, it really is worth the hype especially considering how much product you actually get for your money and how different it feels compared to other powders.

Have you tried the Laura Mercier powder yet?
