The Ultimate SPF Roundup.

Summer Skincare Facial SPF Sunscreen Products

As much as I am loving the extra Vitamin D and the general good vibes the sunny weather brings right now, this is also the perfect time to reevaluate your SPF game. I know, you are not only supposed to wear SPF in the summer, but every time you go outside. However, as the sun gets stronger I also like to double down on protecting my skin. So today I thought I would share with you my go-to SPF products and also explain how and when I wear each one.

Summer Skincare Facial SPF Sunscreen Products

The CeraVe Facial Moisturising Lotion SPF 25 is my everyday moisturiser. I use it all year around and I just ADORE the consistency and how hydrated it leaves my skin. It's the perfect base for my makeup and I simply cannot go a day without it. A must in my beauty routine!

The Shiseido Sun Care Expert Sun Protector Face & Body Lotion SPF 50+ is THE facial SPF I love using whenever I know I will be in the sun a lot that day. It has a very similar consistency as the La Roche Posay Anthelios XL SPF 50+, but for some reason I just tend to use the Shiseido more often. I guess I prefer the scent a bit, other than that they are basically identical.

Shiseido Stick Summer Skincare Facial SPF Sunscreen Products

Shiseido Stick Summer Skincare Facial SPF Sunscreen Products

Did you know you should touch up your SPF every couple of hours, even when wearing makeup? I tried using sprays on top of my makeup before but honestly, my face just felt too oily after. Then I came across the Shiseido Sun Care Clear Stick UV SPF 50+. Let me tell you, I am obsessed! It's a stick with a clear balm that you can simply glide one top of your makeup. Sure, some of the makeup transfers to your stick, depending how much product you wear. However, as I am the only one using it, I really don't care. Reapplying SPF has never been easier. Also, it's the perfect size to pop in my handbag!

Whenever I go for a swim or a run I like to wear a sunscreen that is waterproof. For that my choice is the Avene Sun Sensitive Sport Fluid SPF 50+ is perfect for that. Yes, it is definitely heavier than my other products, however when I workout in the sun I don't really care much about any possible whitecast or oiliness. I just want my skin to be protected, all the time.

What is your favorite SPF?

What's In My Summer Beauty Bag.

Summer Beauty Makeup Products Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Nudestix, Essie, By Terry

It is finally June! This means summer is just around the corner. And for me, not only my wardrobe changes during that time but also my go-to beauty products do. So today I am sharing with you my current fave products, all about makeup, perfume and nails.

Summer Beauty Makeup Products Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Nudestix, Essie, By Terry

Summer Beauty Makeup Products Estee Lauder, Bobbi Brown, Nudestix, Essie, By Terry

The Makeup

I really take a step back when it comes to wearing a lot of products in the summertime. Most of the time I do not reach for foundation at all. However, a good glowy base product is still a must for me. The By Terry Cellularose CC Serum is my holy grail. I wear it every single day. It gives my skin a healthy and fresh look while also evening out any minor imperfections. I adore it! For bronzer, I still stick to my trusted Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Bronzer. A classic. My highlighter of choice has not changed since the beginning of the year and is still the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Afternoon Glow. But there is something new in my makeup bag: the Nudestix Nudies Bloom Blush in shade Cherry Blossom Babe. Honestly, their formula is to die for! I also love their shade range. I think I have to get Tiger Lily Queen next. A cream blush is just a must in the summer.

The Perfume

What is a summer without Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Perfume? A classic for a reason. This scent always takes me back to beach holidays, long nights and simply the best times. I am honestly the worst at describing scents but you should really give it a try in your local shop. To me, it smells like pure summer.

The Nails

I love a good nude nail polish, but in the summertime, I like to go for a pinkier nude. There is just something about a fresh pink manicure that I associate with summer. My current fave is Essie Nails in "Sugar Daddy". Essie always has the most beautiful shade range and lasts the longest on me.

What are your current summertime beauty must-haves?

My Everyday Bag | Saint Laurent Collège Medium.

As much as I love browsing the shops for beautiful bags, I always tend to be drawn to the same style and size of bags.

Over the years I learned that I adore a top-handle bag, which can also be worn cross-body. It has to be able to hold my phone, cardholder, keys and a few more bits but cannot be too large. And of course, I love black bags with gold hardware. But the gold cannot be too shiny or yellow, a brassy or aged-looking gold is just the right shade for me. Well, that sounds like I am quite picky when it comes to bags, right?

Well, I might be. But then again, if you think about spending that amount of money on a bag, you better love every single aspect. I recently sold my Gucci Dionysus Mini (which I still adore!) and thought it was time for a new everyday bag that suits my needs a bit better.

After a lot of research, I realized that the Saint Laurent Collège Medium is just the right bag for me. A classic that will surely stand the test of time. Not only is it a cross-body / top-handle hybrid, but it also has a beautiful and comfortable chain strap that has a small leather part on the top which makes it so easy to wear. The leather I chose already has an aged or creased look to it. I always try to stay away from bags that are extremely smooth, as I know that I will end up scratching them. This will not only bother me, but also reduce the re-sell value... something I always have in mind when making my purchases.

Which is your fave YSL bag?

My Current Haircare Routine.

Bumble & Bumble Haircare Products Routine - Product Flatlay

Bumble & Bumble Haircare Products Routine - Product Flatlay

As much as I have been investing a lot of time (and money) into my skincare routine recently, I really have neglected my haircare. So I thought it is time to try some new products and tackle some of my problems.

Before I get started to talk about the products I have been using, just a bit about my hair structure: I have quite long but thin hair which, if I don't style it at all, will simply look flat and straight. As this is not the look I want to go for, I always like to blowdry and style it at the same time. However, I do try to not use any other heated styling tools after.

One of the haircare brands I wanted to try for ages is Bumble & Bumble. Especially their Sunday Shampoo has been on my wishlist for months. So what are the products I incorporated into my routine and how do I get on with them?

Bumble & Bumble Haircare Products Routine - Product Flatlay

The Sunday Shampoo

The Bumble & Bumble Sunday Shampoo is a detox shampoo that deeply cleanses your hair and scalp from product build-up. I like to use this one once a week, typically on a Sunday and follow it with a good conditioner and/or hair mask. In order for your hair to grow as healthily as possible, it is important to remove all the product buildup from time to time. But bear in mind that this shampoo will also strip your hair of all the oils and natural hydration, so this really is not a daily shampoo and you should make sure to moisturize your hair after.

The Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner

I always need all of the volume I can get, so I opted for the Bumble & Bumble Thickening Shampoo & Conditioner. I really adore this range. It gives my hair more body than it normally has while also hydrating my hair. This is something I have not seen in any other "volume" shampoos yet. I love it.

The Thickening Spray

The Bumble & Bumble Thickening Spray is used on damp hair just before blow-drying it. I personally have never used any kind of styling product pre-drying. I have to say that it really does what it says. It gives my hair more volume. However, bear in mind that this is not really a hair care product, more of a styling product. So I try to not focus it too much on my ends as they can get quite dry. I use it more on my roots and use oil at the ends of my hair.

The Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray

The Bumble & Bumble Thickening Dryspun Texture Spray is a finishing spray I LOVE to use in the morning to give my hair some more volume which it loses in the night while I sleep on it. It is lightweight, does not feel sticky and has a nice subtle smell to it. I adore this so much and cannot imagine this leaving my routine any time soon.

Have you tried any Bumble & Bumble products yet? If so, what are your faves?

The Shoes I Am Trying Not To Buy Right Now.

With the seasons changing I find myself browsing my fave online shops for some new pieces more than ever. And of course, shoes are very high on my list. So what better way of dealing with my cravings than to share them with you on here, right? And maybe, just maybe, this will stop me from actually hitting the 'buy now' button. Wish me luck!

Perfume Collection | Evening Edit.

Perfume Collection Evening Edition with YSL Libre, Black Opium, Versace Crystal Noir

Perfume Collection Evening Edition with YSL Libre, Black Opium, Versace Crystal Noir

I know you guys love me perfume edits, so today I thought I would share with you the evening edit of my fave perfumes.

YSL Libre

The Yves Saint Laurent Libre Perfume is quite a recent launch, and I am sure you have already seen it all over Instagram. I mean it really is such a gorgeous bottle, isn't it? However, not only the outside is beautiful, the inside of this gorgeous sent is just as beautiful. Probably more on the subtle side when it comes to my evening perfumes, but that makes it perfect for a casual night. I am obsessed.

Perfume Collection Evening Edition with YSL Libre, Black Opium, Versace Crystal Noir

Givenchy L'Interdit

One of my fave perfumes ever is L'Interdit by Givenchy. It has subtle floralness to it without smelling like a whole field of wildflowers. I am normally someone who stays away from very floral scents but this one just hits the spot for me and is perfect for spring/summertime. I am not the best at describing scents so I would say just give it a spritz whenever you'll be around a beauty counter. You won't regret it! Btw, this is the scent I get the most compliments for... by far!
Givenchy L'Interdit Intense is equally gorgeous, just much deeper and has a touch of berry to it. Very sexy indeed. However, if I could only go for one, I would stick to the classic!

Perfume Collection Evening Edition with YSL Libre, Black Opium, Versace Crystal Noir

YSL Black Opium

Talking about classics, everyone needs Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium in their collection. This really is a very "out there" scent but in the best way possible. I mostly wear it on nights out and sometimes just during the day when I want to feel powerful. I adore this one and can't imagine being without it.

Versace Crystal Noir

Okay, I have to admit, I really got influenced into buying Versace Crystal Noir. For some reason, it was all over TikTok a few months back so I just needed to get it. Obviously, I didn't get any chance to wear it on a night out yet... but that doesn't mean I cannot judge it. This perfume is really unique, unlike anything I have smelled before. A very sexy scent. I simply cannot describe it, so I suggest you go and give it a try.

What are your fave evening perfumes?

How To Look Luxe On A Budget.

Looking luxe doesn't always have to be expensive. I would even go so far to say that you can throw all the money you want at your outfit, but if you don't choose the right pieces you still won't look 'expensive'. So what is it that makes you look luxe?

1. Stick with the classic colours.
One of the major things I noticed when trying to look expensive on a budget is sticking to the right tones. And don't worry, I don't want you to follow my footsteps and mostly wear black, but I do think it's a good idea to stick to neutrals and classic shades. A camel coat, a black dress or a grey bag tend to look more high-end than their neon-coloured counterparts.

2. Invest in key pieces.
Obviously, this is not a must. But if you are able to you should contemplate into investing into the staple pieces of your wardrobe. What these staples consist of, is different for everyone depending on your taste and lifestyle. For me, it would be a classic Burberry trench or a classic double flap in black. By investing in these you can be sure that the main part of your closet is high quality and of course also high-end looking. Of course, these investments don't have to consist of big purchases, like a Chanel bag. Accessories like Designer sunglasses or belts can make a huge impact. The rest of your wardrobe can be built with more seasonal high-street options.

3. The cut is everything.
When it comes to any purchase you should always consider the cut. A blazer or coat with more fitted sleeves and the right length will automatically look more luxe. And please forget about the size tag in your clothes, always go with the right fit. In my closet, you can literally find every possible size.

4. Don't forget about your shoes.
When thinking about your perfect outfit you should never forget about your shoes. While you might think that an expensive watch or purse might give away a high-end outfit, the shoes really say more than you think. That doesn't mean you need to spend a fortune on them. A nice pair of black boots or heels that fit you perfectly will do the trick. And of course, always make sure they are clean and in the best condition.

5. Wear it with confidence.
Last but not least, wear whatever you decide on with confidence and the rest will come with ease.

What are your go-to tips and tricks to look more luxe?

Brand Focus | Bobbi Brown.

*This post contains PR Samples

About a year
ago I didn't own anything from Bobbi Brown. However, my obsession all started with their Luxe Lip Color in "Pale Mauve". I picked it up on a random shopping spree and have worn it every day since. The formula is lightweight and moisturizing and the colour is seriously to die for, the perfect pinky nude! Since then I am hooked on Bobbi Brown products, so I thought I would share with you my fave products so far.

The Base

I have to admit I normally skip the base step of my makeup. It's just something you can easily forget or see as unimportant. And to be fair, I also mostly agree that bases don't always hold what they promise. The Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base is so different though! It's a rich, yet lightweight base that really nourishes your skin and gives it the best prep to make your makeup look flawless. I cannot go without it anymore!

The Foundation

I like very glowy, lightweight foundations which still pack quite a bit of coverage, but don't make me look cakey. The Bobbi Brown Skin-Longwear foundation is perfect for me. The best part: it also has SPF 15, so extra protection for your skin. And did you see the shade range? I am sure everybody can find their perfect shade here! I use the shade Porcelain.

The Corrector

I never really understand why I would need a corrector. However, I started seeing multiple beauty bloggers talk about the Bobbi Brown corrector I wanted to give it a shot. And omg! I will never be without it. I use it under my eyes, but also on some red spots, I have around my face. It neutralizes the redness and my dark circles perfectly without looking too much or unnatural like some concealers can do. I use it every single day. Even on makeup-less days and I just look fresh and well-rested. If you only get one of these products, make it this one!

The Concealer

However, when I wear a full face of makeup or have very bad spots I still need a more heavy-duty concealer. But I still don't like to use too thick concealers which just look unnatural and crease so easily. My concealer of choice is the Bobbi Brow Full Cover Concealer. Such beautiful coverage, yet very easy to blend. I love it!

The Powder

Because I was running out of my Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Finish Powder I decided to pick up the Bobbi Brown Nude Finish Illuminating Powder. I always need a bit of powder to set my makeup but I still want it to look glowy and natural. This powder is basically invisible but still gives you a gorgeous glow and adds some longevity to your makeup. A new staple in my makeup bag!

The Highlighter

And of course, no look is complete without a highlighter. When I first saw the Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in "Afternoon Glow" I thought it's to die for, but probably too much for me. However, this is just the right amount of glow for me. It doesn't look glittery or chunky on the skin but still gives you a goddess-like glow. This is my new highlighter of choice and I don't see myself switching it out any time soon. I love it.

The Eyebrow Pencil

What is a good winged liner without the perfect eyebrows framing them? Exactly. The Bobbi Brown Perfectly Defined Long-Wear Brow Pencil is a godsend. The shade 'Blonde' works perfectly for my cool-toned brown hair. I also love that the pencil is not too sheer but also not too opaque at the same time. Love it!

What is your fave Bobbi Brown product?

What's In My Spring Makeup Bag.

*This post contains PR Samples

Spring Makeup Products

When I got out my makeup early in the morning a few days back, I realized that I have changed up my products quite a bit recently. I think I started craving natural, rosy and glowy products just when it started to become a bit warmer and the first signs of spring slowly but surely came out. So I thought it's the perfect opportunity to share with you what is in my spring makeup bag this year.

Spring Makeup Products

Spring Makeup Products

The Base

When I think about spring makeup, I think of light and glowy products, especially when it comes to the base. So the makeup base is something that I take very seriously, especially in the springtime. On days where I actually wear foundation, I will use my Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base. On days where I want to go without foundation, I will choose the By Terry Cellularose CC Serum

The Foundation

In spring and summer, I normally like to go foundation-less and only apply concealer wherever I need it. But sometimes I just want a more perfected look, but with a weightless formula. That's when I will use the Bobbi Brown Skin-Longwear Weightless Foundation. Such a lightweight formula with medium coverage and great lasting power.

The Concealer

As I often only wear concealer as my base product, I need one that really covers my imperfections and also lasts the whole day. The Bobbi Brown Instant Full Coverage Concealer is perfect for that! I use the shade "Porcelain" under my eyes to brighten up my dark undereye area and the shade "Sand" as this matches my complexion better.

The Highlighter

Highlighter is a must for me all year, but especially in spring/summertime. My recent fave is the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Highlighter in "Heat Wave". Such a gorgeous shade and really makes you glow like a goddess!

The Eyeliner

I have experimented with my standard liner recently, as I switched from black to brown liner. For that I chose my go-to Clinique Pretty Easy Liner in "Brown". I love the subtle, yet defined look it gives. I am obsessed!

The Mascara

I have been using the same mascara for years now and I do not think I will change it any time soon. The Max Factor False Lash Effect holds the curl in my lashes so well and gives me volume and length at the same time. I cannot ask for a better mascara. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend you give it a go.

The Lipstick

The Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture liquid lipstick is something I just cannot live without. In the springtime, my fave shade is Rose Illicit, a gorgeous light pink shade. Perfect for a spring look on the lips! It lasts forever and doesn't feel drying like most lipsticks do.

What are your spring makeup products you can't live without?

The Skincare Products That Really Work.

*This Post Contains PR Samples

Skincare Products That Actually Work, Clinique Avene CeraVe

I really love discovering new skincare products. I probably try more products than my skin really wants me to, but I find that you really have to do a lot of research before finding creams, cleansers and serums that actually make a difference. So today I am sharing with you my Top 5 Skincare products, that actually really work.

Skincare Products That Actually Work, Clinique Avene CeraVe

1. CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser

I only recently started using the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and I am already in love. It really does what it says. It cleanses your skin but also hydrates it at the same time. That doesn't mean you should skip your moisturiser after cleansing, but it certainly leaves my skin feel smooth and not stripped and tight like a lot of cleansers tend to do. Love it!

2. Avene TriAcneal Emulsion

This has been my secret weapon for years now. I think I first used it around 8 years ago when I suddenly started to break out on my forehead. I normally never have any skin issues and this really threw me off. This Avene TriAcneal Emulsion helped me so much. Every time I now feel my skin getting uneven I will use this (only where it needs it) and in a few days, it is all gone. Everyone should have it in their beauty drawer!

3. Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

Another one of my faves. Since I wear a lot of waterproof Eyeliner and Mascara, a normal cleanser doesn't cut it for me. The Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm is a godsend. It so easily removed ALL my makeup and my skin feels so soft and clean after. I mostly go in again, to double cleanse, with the CeraVe Cleanser. A real dream team!

4. Clinique All About Eyes Eye Cream Rich

I haven't used any other eye cream for years. The Clinique All About Eyes Rich is such a gorgeous and rich eye cream. It doesn't irritate my eyes, which a lot of other creams do. A real dream eye cream.

5. Clinique Moisture Surge Moisturiser

The Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser is my go-to day moisturiser. It is so light and works perfectly under my makeup. For the night I tend to go for something heavier, like facial oils. But for the day this is the perfect moisturiser for me.

What are your go-to skincare products that actually make a difference?

5 Easy Lifestyle Changes To Instantly Make You Feel Better.

*This post contains PR Samples

Sometimes I feel like all we do is constantly trying to improve every single aspect of our lives. Don't get me wrong, I think progress is a great thing and we all should strive to do and feel better. However, when we overwhelm ourselves with these huge aspirations and we don't nail them right away, we tend to simply give up. This is why I think that small changes can have the biggest and most importantly lasting impact. Today I want to share with you 5 easy lifestyle changes that will make you feel better instantly.

1. Drink more water.
This is such an easy thing to do. However, we tend to forget about drinking enough water from time to time. So let this be your reminder: Hydration is key! I recently discovered Waterdrop, a delicious and healthy way to add flavour to your water. I like the taste of plain water but I still find myself craving some more flavour in my drink more often than not. This is why I love waterdrops. Their flavours are natural, sugar-free and delicious. My fave flavours are Glow (mango, cactus fruit and artichoke), Boost (Blackcurrant, Elderflower and Acai) and Relax (Hisbiscus, Acerola and Aronia). And do we have to talk about how cute this re-usable steel bottle is? I am obsessed!

2. Get into a schedule and stick to it.
Getting up and going to bed at roughly the same time every day has huge benefits. You will feel less groggy in the mornings and your body will get used to your routines. Of course, that will make you more productive. Sounds great, right? And don't worry. I won't tell you do get up at 5 am every single day. You should find a rhythm that fits your lifestyle and your body. Some people thrive with an early morning and some are most productive in the evenings. So please don't let anybody tell you that you can only be successful when you get up before sunrise. You do you! But do it consistently!

3. Just move.
Anytime I see an article talking about ways to improve your life, your health or your mood it talks about the importance of exercise. I know this topic can be daunting and does not sound like an 'easy lifestyle change'. But with exercise, I don't mean a 10K or 2-hour weight lifting session. Just try to get your steps in and take the stairs instead of the elevator. These are small changes that are easily implemented and will have a great effect on your overall wellbeing.

4. Get rid of it.
There is something so therapeutic about clearing your space. It is almost like you are clearing your mind at the same time. So next time you feel like your head is just everywhere and you can't concentrate, maybe try to declutter your surroundings. This doesn't have to mean that you do a huge clear-out session. Just take on one corner, drawer, box at a time.

5. Learn to say no.
Okay, I have to admit that this is quite hard for me personally... and I am working on it! I know we all want to be the best friend, daughter, partner, employee possible and that is GREAT. Keep up that mentality. But sometimes, we forget that we actually have the right to say no. You don't have to be at every party every gathering and every event. If you focus your energy consciously there will be much greater results than when you try to do everything and please everyone at the same time. Try it, it feels great!

The Winter Haircare Routine.

Winter Haircare Products Routine

We have talked about Winter Skincare plenty in the last couple of months. But there is more to adjust in your beauty regimen than your skincare products when it comes to the colder months. I always like to switch up my hair care products to give my hair back some moisture that it definitely loses in those dry periods of the year.

So today I am sharing with you my current winter hair care products.

Winter Haircare Products Routine Matrix Wella

The Shampoo

I have recently started using Matrix products. They are actually the most affordable salon-grade products I have come across yet. And what can I say, I adore them! The Matrix High Amplify shampoo gives my hair the volume that it tends to lose when I work with a lot of hair oils. This shampoo feels clean without drying and nourishing without making my hair heavy. I adore it.

The Conditioner

I was initially planning on picking up the Matrix High Amplify conditioner to go with my shampoo. But as I use conditioner only in the lengths on my hair, I wanted something more nourishing that might help my damaged hair. The Matrix Re-Bond conditioner is amazing! Honestly, it gives me a similar effect to the Olaplex products I used to use when I was bleaching my hair.

The Mask

Every weekend I like to treat my hair to a hair mask. And my current product of choice is the Wella Professionals Oil Reflections mask. After shampooing my hair (and not using conditioner!) I apply the mask generously and leave it for a couple of hours, depending on how much time I have. Then I rinse it with cold water and my hair is silky soft. When my hair is struggling majorly I even use the hair mask instead of conditioner after every wash for a couple of weeks. It does wonders for the structure of my hair!

The Oils

One thing that I need all year round and especially in the wintertime is a good hair oil. And recently I have been using two. The Wella SP Luxe Oil is the one I use in the morning in the ends of my hair to give it a nice shine and make it look less frizzy. The Matrix Oil Wonder Indian Amla oil is the one I use in the night and then put up my hair in a bun to let it soak in. But be careful, with these oils you would really only use 1-2 pumps depending on the length of your hair. Try also to focus on the ends and don't use it on the roots of your hair.

What are your winter hair care products that you can't live without?

What Fits In My Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Mini.

Recently I revealed my latest designer addition to my wardrobe on Instagram: The Gucci Dionysus GG Supreme Mini. You guys had loads of questions about it and the most common one would be about the sizing and what it actually fits. So today I thought I would share with you what I carry around with me in my new bag.

The Dionysus comes in a range of different colours and sizes. As far as I know, this is the second smallest one. There is also the "super mini", which is obviously ... super mini. It did not fit my iPhone so this was a no-go for me. I also really liked the "small", but the mini is just more comfortable to wear as a crossbody. And I wear most of my bags crossbody so this made my decision much easier.

It very easily fits my iPhone 11 Pro Max with a regular case on it. I like to keep it in the front pouch of the bag, as the lining of this compartment is coated canvas and not suede like the lining of the main compartment. I tend to have makeup sticking to my phone so I would like to avoid staining the suede lining.

In addition to my phone, I always carry around my keyholder, cardholder, some medicine in a small pouch, a lipstick, a mirror, facemask and my AirPods. This is all I need on a daily basis and I love that all of it fits perfectly in the bag.

I can wear the bag very comfortably as a crossbody and it sits perfectly on my hips. I am 5,7 or 170 for reference. You can double up the chain and wear it as a shoulder bag but I find this less comfortable and practical. But I like that it is an option if I ever change my mind.

How do you like the Dionysus bags?

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder | Worth It?

There are some makeup products you hear about constantly. When you think about popular setting powders I am pretty sure the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder would be very high on your list. So after I ran out of my Charlotte Tilbury one, I decided to splurge on this very hyped powder. So today I thought I would share with you my thoughts on it. Is it really worth the hype?

Firstly I have to say that the packaging looks very chic. I love the minimal design and the frosted look of the jar. It contains 29 grams, which really is a lot of product. Most of the setting powders I have used before, come with around 10 grams. So maybe that makes the price a bit more justified.

In general, I am a fan of translucent powders as I love that I don't have to worry about finding the right shade for me. However, keep in mind that most translucent powders aren't as translucent as they claim to be. They often can add a slight white layer on your face, so maybe that is something to keep in mind when you have a deeper complexion. However, at least on me I find this powder very translucent and have not noticed any white-ish cast on my skin. If you prefer a non-translucent powder, Laura Mercier also does this powder in different shades.

The brand claims that the powder gives you a soft-focus effect to your skin and I really can see what they mean. My skin looks perfected without looking fake or cakey. The powder itself feels very soft, almost fluffy. It doesn't feel as dry as most powders tend to do. It almost feels hydrating. Also, my foundation and concealer seem to last a bit longer than usual. So for me, it really is worth the hype especially considering how much product you actually get for your money and how different it feels compared to other powders.

Have you tried the Laura Mercier powder yet?
