The Rosy Spring Glow | Makeup Edit.

*This Post contains PR Samples

First of all, I hope all of you guys are safe and being sensible and stay home if you can. As much as this time can be a downer on our mood, it is important to focus more than ever on the little things that make us happy and our days a bit lighter. For me, it's the first signs of spring. The sun has been coming out to say hello a lot in the last few days and I already can see some flowers blooming here and there. The second thing that makes me happy: beauty products! So today I thought I would combine the two and share with you my current fave products to get that rosy spring glow!

This is a product I have been raving about forever. I mainly use it on its own as a glow booster whenever I aim for a minimal makeup look or as a primer under my makeup. CC creams are something I love this time every year. The shade Rose Elixir is perfect for my teint in winter/springtime and I am already looking to get a deeper shade for the summer.

These eyeshadow sticks are a godsend when you want an uncomplicated and quick wash of colour on your lids. They are extremely creamy but once you apply them they are set in place and really don't move at all. I can recommend all of the shades but my fave is Frozen Quartz. A beautiful shimmery rosy colour, perfect for spring.

This is the most recent addition to my little By Terry collection. I have the shade Rosy Gleam. It's a light pink but very sheer powder that I use almost all over my face to give it a beautiful radiant look without looking glittery or oily. I am honestly obsessed and can't wait to try more shades. A must-have!

I have been using the PTR Pumpkin Mask for ages and wanted to get a glow and hydrating boosting version. This is a gel mask that feels so refreshing and cooling on the skin. It leaves my face glowy, radiant, plump and refreshed. I am obsessed! Pro Tipp: Pop it in the fridge for an extra refreshing effect... perfect for depuffing your face as well!

This is the lip balm of choice for me all year round and especially in the springtime. I personally don't tend to wear the matte and heavy lipsticks, that I gravitate to in the winter, during spring. I love very light products at this time of the year and mostly that means lip care product more than anything else. However, if I want some colour on my lips I would choose the YSL Rouge Pur Couture number 70.

The Only Editing Apps You Need.

The number one question that always pops up in my Instagram DMs is how I edit my pictures and stories. I feel like I have tried them all through the years and there was a point where I would use up to 10 different apps for one picture but now I think I found one main app for each editing purpose. So today I thought I would share with you my top 5 editing apps.

1. Lightroom

If I could only have one app on my phone to edit this would be it. I have a couple of presets that I curated myself and this allows to very quickly edit my pictures. I just make minor adjustments and I am done. I use it for my Instagram Posts and also my Blog pictures as I like to have everything in the same look and feel.

2. Unfold

This is the saviour for all of my Instagram Stories. I have to admit that the free templates are really limited but I purchased a few of their bundles and they really are inexpensive and beautiful. Definitely worth investing one or two euros.

3. Over

This is the second app that I use for my stories and also the most recently downloaded app. I especially use it when I want to lay text over anything. Just as Unfold it has a few free options and then a more extended collection of templates and fonts that you need to pay for. But for my purposes, the free ones are more than enough.

4. Retouch

Whenever I take pictures outside there is at least one person or one object in the background that I really don't want in the frame. For this Retouch is perfect. It's very straight forward to use but really makes the biggest difference. I am hooked.

5. Facetune

Facetune is a godsend whenever the white tones in my photos are just a bit too yellow. The whitening tool is seriously underrated and if you like a crisp white picture, you need Facetune in your life... or at least on your phone.

The Nude Lipstick Edit.

*This post contains PR Samples

Nude is a colour I am always automatically drawn to. Be it nude clothes, nail polish, home accessories or lipsticks. However, there are so many shades of nude and sometimes it can be quite tricky to find the right undertone for your complexion, especially when it comes to lipstick. So today I want to share with you a little guide to find the perfect nude lipstick for yourself and also introduce you to some of my personal faves.

If you are pale and cool-toned like me, you should probably go for a shade with a pink undertone. Girls with a more olive tone to their skin should definitely avoid lipsticks that are lighter than their skin, that will make you look washed out. Medium skin tones can pull off kind of everything but look best with a hint of peach. Girls with very dark skin tones will look the freshest with darker chocolatey nudes without a peachy or pinky undertone. If you go by those rules you won't look like you are staring in 'the walking dead'.

After you decided on the colour scheme, you should think about which finish you want. The easiest to pull off would be a glossy finish. It looks good in every shade and makes you look fresh. Another pro is that your lips don't have to be in the best state. For a matte nude lip, you definitely need to give your lips a good scrub before applying. Nude matte lipsticks tend to highlight the uneven bits of your lips even more. But I personally love the look of a matte nude lip, even when it's more work.

With those things in mind, you should be able to rock a nude lip without any effort.

When it comes to a matte liquid lip I absolutely adore the Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Matte Stains in 7, which is more of a true nude and 11, which is quite pink, and number 23, a beautiful deeper nude. My go-to liquid lipstick, however, is the bareMinerals liquid lipstick in 'swag'. Again a very cool-toned pinky nude. I also adore the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips in 'Dolly Bird'.

Tom Ford lipsticks have the best lipstick formula in my opinion. My go-to shades in the nude spectrum are 'Pink Dusk', 'All Mine', 'Spanish Pink', 'Bad Lieutenant', 'Spiced Honey' and 'Blush Nude'. If I want something lighter and more on the glossy side I love Armani Rouge d'Armani in 103, Chanel Rouge Coco in '402 Adrienne', Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color in '14 Pale Petal' and YSL Rouge Volupte Shine  in 47. For a lip care product with a hint of colour, I love to use the Clarins Natural Lip Perfector in 01.
