Oh My Glow | By Terry CC Serum.

Anyone who follows high-end beauty trends would have heard of the By Terry Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Serum by now. As long as the name is, the promise is simple: a radiance boosting, color-correcting and brightening skincare and primer hybrid. I first got interested in the product when Lydia Millen started raving about it a few years back. I was going back and forth about splurging on this and finally took the plunge a few months back. And let me tell you, I am not looking back!

Before purchasing the serum it was actually quite hard for me to choose a shade. I knew the shade "sunny flash" would most likely be too deep for me, even though this seems to be the most popular one. I was going back and forth between "apricot glow" and "rose elixir".  In the end I went for the latter, as I have quite pink toned skin. I am still intrigued to try all of the other shades, but I still think mine is a great match. Anyway, when I want a more bronzed look, I already have my Terrybly Densiliss Sun Glow Serum. To really compare the two I probably need the CC serum in the bronzing shade. But for me these are not competing products as I use both in totally different ways.

My By Terry CC serum I love to use on makeup free days in when I want to look as natural as possible, but still want my skin to look fresh and youthful. Sometimes I also love to use it when I spend the whole day at home and still want to feel like I am making an effort. I heard people LOVE it as a primer, but I actually prefer it on its own, almost like a finishing skincare product. It glides on perfectly and really gives the most natural and beautiful glow, without being glittery.

The Sun Glow serum I mainly use on holiday when I got a bit of a tan and don't want to wear makeup to match my face to my body. I avoid all direct sun on my face and literally lather myself in spf 50, especially on a summer holiday. So it happens often that my face looks much paler than the rest of my body, so this is a godsend for these times. But for a daily use, it's just a bit too dark for me. However, I have to say that it is really easy to layer. So wether you are more on the lighter side like me, or a bit more bronzed, it will probably suit you. But if you are fairer than me, then maybe go for the CC serum.

Have you tried the By Terry CC serum yet?

  8. You make this serum sound so delicious, good enough to eat!! I never actually tried serum that had " shades" to it. Most of my serums are colourless so its an interesting thought for me now. Thanks for sharing.

  19. This is my first time hearing about this product but it absolutely sounds so magical that I want to give it a try. I typically like to wear very minimal makeup so this might be really great for me on days when I basically want to wear very little to no makeup.
