The Perfume Edit.

* This post contains affiliate links

Today I wanted to share with you something that I don't often talk about: my favorite perfumes. Thinking about it now I find it surprising how I have never shared them with you. I am someone who can't leave the house without a spritz or two. Which one I choose each day depends completely on my mood and the occasion. So I thought it would be fun to talk you through my most used and loved perfumes.

Chanel No.5
This is the perfume that is most special to me. Not (just) because it's Chanel, but because I bought it at Heathrow the first time I visited London. I actually took my mum there for her birthday and it was such a magical week for us. So whenever I use it, it reminds me of London and more importantly my mum. I only wear it for special occasions like birthdays, weddings or Christmas or whenever I need that extra boost of confidence.

YSL Black Opium
If I ever need a very intense perfume for a night out or any other special occasion this is my choice. It smells very strong but in the best way possible. I know so many people who either hate or love Black Opium but I adore it completely. So give it a try and tell me what you think. Love it or hate it?

Armani Si Intense
This is a scent I love to wear on a daily basis. Yes, it is still quite 'out there' but I always like my perfumes to be a bit more on the bolder side. Especially because I feel like they last way longer. There is nothing worse than a perfume that disappears after an hour or so. I really like the original Si scent but the intense version suits me the best.

Chloe Love
I guess this is my most used and loved one when it comes to everyday scents. It's pretty powdery and maybe not for everyone but I am obsessed. To me, it's the most elegant, sophisticated and yet unique scent. I get loads of compliments whenever I wear it and I got so many friends and family members hooked on this scent as well. This will most certainly never leave my collection.

By Terry Terrific Oud
I am in two minds about this perfume. Sometimes I find it way too strong and just too 'oud' but other times I am so drawn to this scent. I have to be honest, I don't wear it all that much but there is something special about this By Terry scent. I would love to hear your opinions if you have ever tried it.

x Lisa

  1. I'm also someone who can't leave the house without a spritz of perfume. In high school I really liked some of the Victoria Secret body mists as they were so easy to just bring in my bag. Now I wear them mostly to the gym, but on an everyday sort of basis I really like the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. I wish it lasted longer but I still enjoy it. The perfume I actually get the most compliments on is the Taylor Swift Wonderstruck Enchanted, it also lasts super long on my skin! I don't know what it is about it but it works so well with my skin chemistry. I'm not sure if these two would be your type of scent though as they're not very bold at all and more on the sweet side, which is my favourite! Lovely post!!

  9. Love this Lisa! My absolute fave is Chanel No. 5 - mostly because it's my Mom's and whenever I smell it I think of her and pick up the phone or go visit, send a text - whatever - just generally check in with her which is always lovely.

  10. My mom's go-to scent is Opium from YSL and doesn't wear anything else, so I can only begin to imagine what Black Opium must smell like. Armani Si is one of my all time favorite perfumes (the hair perfume is even better :) )and I actually love a bit of a more out there and intense perfume so I'm sure I would like the Intense version. I'm not sure what it's called, but the Armani Si in the red bottle is on my wishlist. Jo Malone also has to have some of my all time favorite scents :) xx

  17. I can't leave the house without perfume either, I feel naked! I'm that person who only has one perfume, which all wear everyday to every occasion until I finish the bottle and then will never buy it again. I like to associate my perfumes to certain moments in my life - Chanel nº5 brings back so many memories!

  22. I absolutely love Black Opium! It has been my winter perfume for a few years, and I really think I'm going to get it back this winter because the scent is just lovely and full of personality. In the same scent family, Poison Girl by Dior has that strong scent and identity, a bit peppery, and I love it just as much :)

  23. I always love how perfumes can give you the extra bit of confidence you need for the day. Chanel No. 5 is one of my favorites because my grandma wore it all the time, so whenever I wear it it reminds me of her. I haven't smelled any of the other perfumes so I'll have to give them a try. Thank you for the recommendations!
