Five Things I Have Learned From Working Out.

I never thought I would be that person who "needs" to work out. But here I am. I find myself trying to convince my boyfriend to go to the gym way more often than he does with me. In the beginning of our relationship he was the one trying to motivate me and now it seems the roles have changed haha. But I have to say I was way more unmotivated than he ever is, so he definitely had the harder job.

I have been going to the gym between 3 to 5 times a week since February (with a few weeks off because of holidays or exam periods) and I have been running since July. It has been a, let's say "interesting", journey. It was different than I thought it would be. So today I will share with you a few things I have learned from working out regularly this year.

1. Mental results are immediate, physical ones... not so much.
This is something I have been struggling with. I thought working out will make me look fit as hell FAST. Well, that didn't go as planned. I would say I look quite similiar, maybe some parts of my body are lifted, some parts are more toned. But overall I still don't look like one of those "Fitness-Girls" on Instagram. I guess that's why they do what they do. It's their job. They spend their whole day working out and (most importantly) making the right food choices for themselves. And I guess that's where I am lacking. Chocolate is just too good! But to be honest, I am not mad about it. Of course, I would like to get rid of some excess fat on my tummy or my thighs. But that will go eventually. Way more important to me is the internal change. And this came way quicker. You will feel so much more motivated and energised. I know it sounds crazy to have more energy even though you put more energy into working out. But trust me, you will! And oh god, this feeling to be able to carry more groceries up the stairs than you were before? Priceless!

2. It's not that scary.
I have been there. I was absolutely scared of gyms and working out in front of other people in general. I have started off with pilates at home. But that didn't really work for me. Thank god my boyfriend convinced me to come with him to the gym. Okay, with him by my side it was a bit less frightening. But this was just what I needed to overcome my fear. Now I don't even care if he comes along or not. I feel equally as confident. And if your biggest fear is what others might think.. let me tell you: Everyone has their insecurities and most people will mostly just think about what others think about them and won't judge a thing you are doing. The same goes for running outside. I was so scared of it before. I always thought people might judge me because I am not the fastest runner, I get pretty red and I feel like I am breathing like a crazy person. But did you ever judge a person you saw running? Even when they were red and sweaty and maybe even slower than the average runner? No, most probably you thought that you should get your butt off the couch, too.

3. Everyone struggles, especially in the beginning.
I always felt like a loser when working out. As I said I get red quite quickly and I have a serious sweaty face (haha I know you all wanted to know that) and the first few times I felt like I am going to throw up. But guess what? That's totally normal. You will feel sick, you will feel uneasy but that's exactly what you want. The rewarding feeling afterwards is so worth it. You did it even though you felt like crap. It will get easier with time and most probably you will stop feeling like vomiting after a few weeks, but you will find yourself trying to push harder and harder to test your limits. Believe me, it's addicting!

4. So much cleaning to do.
Things get sweaty when you work out. Not even your clothes but also your hair. Honestly, that is something that still annoys me and I haven't found a solution yet. Normally I wash my hair twice a week. But when you workout almost daily that's impossible. I sometimes can skip the hair wash when I do a light weight training. But there is no way in hell I can skip if after a run or other cardio training (and for some reason: leg day is always very sweaty for me!). So you will have to wash your clothes and your hair way more than you are used to. But again.. that's just a minor issue. I would still like to know if you have any tips for not having to wash your hair daily when working out?

5. Try and fail. But try again.
As I said before, I tried different kinds of workouts before. I did pilates for some time, but it just wasn't for me. I felt bored. So I am not saying you have to go to the gym or go running. That's just what works for me. Maybe you will enjoy tennis? Maybe you even like dancing? A workout doesn't have to take place in the gym or in running shoes. But it doesn't hurt to try! The most important thing is that you enjoy it in the grand picture. Of course, I have days where I just can't be bothered, but then there are days where I can't wait to workout. So don't just think because you don't want to go some days that you shouldn't do it. You will know when it's right!

Do you work out? If yes, what do you like to do?

The Bag Collection | My Favourites.

{This post contains products that have been sent to me as PR gifts, with no obligation to write this post}

There are a few things I like "collect". They are shoes, coats and of course.. bags. I normally go for a pattern and that is: all black everything. Today I want to show you my favourites that I have been wearing non-stop for the last few months. So let's start..

This is my latest addition and by far my current favourite. It's a suede black medium sized back with a gold chain handle. I got it a few months back from Mango (link here)*. You can either have the chain long to wear it cross-body or you double it up like in the picture. So versatile and chic. I am in love!

This one I got in the summer time from Zara (sold out). The colour choice might not be a surprise to you, but if you believe me or not.. I only own black bags so this really is special. I wear it mostly in spring/summer time. So I can't wait to get it out again in a few months.

Another beaut I got from Zara (again.. sold out). I saw loads of people wearing this on Instagram about a year ago and I really couldn't resist. It's such a sweet cross-body bag which fits all my essentials. Never without it!

Okay, okay.. this is not sponsored by Zara, I swear! This one I got years and years ago and it's still my go-to bag for parties. It's such a classic. My essentials fit in the bag but it's so small and elegant that it goes with every outfit. A must-have everyone should own.

Another of my latest additions, the Karl Lagerfeld camera bag*. This has been sent to me and I just love it. The subtle glitter makes it perfect for the party season. So you can imagine that this is all I wore during december!

What are your most worn bags?

The Ultimate Phone Accessories.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Ideal Of Sweden}

Who else is obsessed with changing their phone cases? I always feel like I have a brand new phone every time I change the case. And it would be no surprise to you that my favourite cases are marble cases. At the moment I am all about black marble. In the summertime, I am more of a white marble kind of girl.
I do get a lot of questions about my cases over on Instagram (@lisa.autumn). So today I will introduce you to my most favourite company when it comes to cases and general phone accessories: Ideal of Sweden*.

I started using their cases about a year ago and could not be happier. They come out with new designs all the time. But of course, I am all about that marble and the occasional pretty floral pattern. I linked some of my faves for you below.

Something that makes them unique is that their cases are compatible with all of their other magnet accessories, such as car mounts, wallets and other holders.*

I personally have the car phone mount*, the magnetic ring mount* and the ideal magnet*. You can use this Ideal magnet on any kind of surface. I put it in my car to easily display my phone without any kind of obvious mounts. A very elegant solution for everyone who doesn't like the obvious mounts. You can also use it to stick your phone to the fridge while you are cooking. It really is amazing!

And the best thing: If you want to use a different phone case which you want to use with the mounts and holder, you can buy a thin metal plate* to put it in your case. And then you can use all of the other accessories as well!

Speaking of accessories. This gorgeous portable charger* and cable* also come in a lot of different patterns which you can also find in the cases. So all your tech things can be all matchy-matchy in your bag. Genious, isn't it?

If you fancy trying any of their products you can use the discount code "LISAAUTUMN" for 20% off your purchase. YAY!

My Makeup Crush | Charlotte Tilbury.

{This post contains products that have been sent to me as PR gifts, with no obligation to write this post}
*{This post contains affiliate links}

If you have followed me for a bit you would know how much I love Charlotte Tilbury! All her products I have tried so far were always a 10/10. Nothing has disappointed til now. So I can say, that CT is, without a doubt, my all-time favourite makeup brand. I do say makeup on purpose, as I haven't really tried any of her skincare so far but I really want to soon. Today I want to introduce you to my collection so far. I will not write a specific review to every item, but just know that I absolutely love every single one of them. And if you have a specific question just leave it below or tweet me and I will get back to you. So here we go..

The Eyes
Eyeshadows are something that is really hit and miss in the makeup world. But every single one I tried by Charlotte so far has been wonderful. I own the Instant Eye Palette*, the Dolce Vita Palette*, Eyes to Mesmerise in "Jean"* and the Instant Look in a Palette "Beauty Glow".*

The Face
I haven't tried any makeup til now, but I really love the Wonderglow Primer* and the powders: Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder in "Fair"*, Cheek to Chic in "Sex on Fire"*, Filmstar Bronze & Glow.*

The Lipgloss & Liner
One of the first things I ever got from CT was the Lipliner in "Pillowtalk"*. It just got hyped so much that I had to try it. And it is my most worn lipliner up until this day. It's the perfect pinky nude. Such a dream! The other liners I own are "Pink Venus"* and "Savage Rose"*. The lipglosses I own are "Red Vixen"*, "Seduction"* and "Portobello Girl"*. I don't wear lipglosses that much but It's good to know I have one on hand if I need it.

The Lipstick - Nudes
This category has to be my absolute fave! Lipsticks by CT are something else.. their shades are incredible, their formula is dreamy and I don't think we have to talk about the packaging. No wonder I have quite the selection. Matte Revolution is the formula I prefer, but for days that I want something shiny and light, I love the K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipsticks aswell. I will just list the names beginning with my faves/most worn (if that's even possible: English Beauty*, Pillow Talk*, Miss Kensington*, Bitch Perfect*, American Sweetheart*, Between the Sheets*, Very Victoria*, Confession*, Kim KW*, Nude Kate*.

The Lipstick - Reds
If I am not wearing a nude lip you will probably see me with a red lipstick. When it comes to bold colours I only wear mattes, I think it just looks prettier. My favourite shades are "Red Carpet Red"*, "Shanghai Nights"* and "Glastonberry"*

My wishlist of Charlotte Tilbury products is endless, but next I really want to try the Hollywood Lips in "Charlotte Darling"* and "Rising Star"*, the Hot Lips lipstick in "Super Cindy"* and "Kidman's Kiss"*, Matte Revolution in "Walk of Shame"*, Healthy Glow* Tinted Moisturizer and Eyes to Mesmerise in "Bette"*.

Did you try anything by CT already? If yes, what are your recommendations?
