What I Wish For In 2018 | Festive Edit.

Yes, here we go again: the annual New Year's Resolutions-Post. This is the last post for my "Festive Edit" series this year. I feel kind of sad, as I really enjoy December so much, but I am also excited about a new beginning, the next chapter.
____________________________________________________________
Exactly one year ago I published a post all about the things I want to achieve in 2017. So let's quickly recap on this before we move on.

1. Getting Healthier
Well, this kind of worked and kind of not. In 2017 I definitely worked out way more than I ever did     before, but I could really work on eating healthy way more. I feel like this slipped a bit this year.

2. Finding My Path
I mean you probably feel like you are constantly evolving and finding your path your whole life. But this year I definitely came closer to myself and what I want to do with my life. I finally started my Master in Economics and I feel like for the first time in a long long time I have a plan again.

3. Reading More
Well, this one is a bit debatable. I do read more than I did in 2016, but this is probably mostly because of the things I have to do for University. But that counts, right?

4. Be More Responsible With Money
YES YES YES. I can absolutely and confidently say that I improved here. I have an actual savings account now and I don't randomly spend money anymore when I don't really need the item. Even my boyfriend can vouch for that haha.

5. Stop Procrastinating
It's really hard to measure this one, but I would say I also improved here. I think it's nothing I worked on consciously, it was more a necessity to stay sane. It's quite a bit of work to balance University, my blog, Instagram, the gym and my social life. You really have to be quite productive to keep up with everything. If I can say so, I am a bit proud of myself to have managed everything the way I did.

So all in all 2017 was quite a successful year for me, but there are a few parts of my life that could use some improvement.
____________________________________________________________

So what do I wish for in 2018?

1. Getting Healthier
This one will have to stay on my list of things I want to achieve in the new year. As I said, I made quite the progress on my fitness journey, but the nutrition side of things is really lacking at the moment. So I hope to better myself and eat more consciously and all in all more healthy. And of course, keep on working out regularly.

2. Succeeding in University
I am not going to lie, the first semester of my Masters was more than tough. I don't really have the background knowledge most of the other students have and you could really tell that. While they could revise what they learned before and learn even more, I had to start all over again. I am proud to say I have passed all the exams nevertheless, but the grades are still not where I want them to be. So I hope I will continue to study that hard, maybe will improve with time and eventually catch up to everyone else.

3. Feeling at home somewhere
It's really hard to explain, but I am currently living in a tiny flat while I figure out where I actually want to go. I will stay another year in University, in case everything goes right, so I will most probably stay in this transitional "home" until then. I can't wait for a place that I can really call home. A place I can furnish and decorate the way I want. And where I have all my belongings in one place. At the moment they are just split between my mother's house and my flat. Realistically this won't happen before 2019, but a girl can dream, right?

4. Travel more
I bet this one is also on your list. I just want to escape my little word more often. See new places, experience life the way other people do and just change my perspective. I hope to do that way more in 2018. On my list would be anywhere in Scandinavia, Austria, the UK, the US, Newzealand and so on. The list could literally be endless..

What are your New Year's Resolutions if you have any?

xx Lisa

The New Years Eve Makeup | Festive Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Notino.de}

First of all: Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you guys are all enjoying a cosy time with your loved ones, whether you are celebrating this holiday or not.

I know there has been a lot of Christmas related content already, on my blog and practically everywhere else, so today I want to show you the makeup look I will go for on New Year's Eve. And if you are looking for a last minute look for tonight, why not try this one?

For me the festive season is all about sparkles and glitter, so no wonder this is what I am going for with this look.

The Eyes
For the sparkly base for my eyeshadow, I used the YSL Full Metal Shadow in "4 Onde Sable". To deepen the look I went for the Mac "Honey Lust". I really wanted the shadow to be the main feature of the look, so I did not go for my standard black liquid eyeliner. Instead, I went for a soft blended eyeliner look with my YSL Dessin Du Regard Eyeliner in "Brun Danger". A way more subtle option to my classic winged liner. But it wouldn't be an evening look if I didn't use false lashes. It won't surprise you that I went for my favourite Ardell Demi Wispies. I don't even own any other lashes.. the obsession is real.

The Base
One thing every evening look has in common: it needs a flawless and longlasting base. The new YSL All Hours Encre de Peau Foundation is just that. It seriously lasts all night (or day) and still looks perfect. But I have to say I need to use a good moisturizer before as it tends to cling a bit on the dry patches. So if you have extremely dry skin this one is maybe not for you. But I feel like this is quite normal for long-lasting foundations. Do you guys have a recommendation for the girls with dry skin?
My concealer was as always the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer. A holy grail for me! But I have talked about it a million times already so I won't go into details here. For blush, I used a subtle rose tone "Sunlight Mood Lights" by Makeup Revolution.

The Lips
It was pretty hard for me to decide on a lip colour for this look. I used to always wear a bright red lip on New Year's Eve. But I felt it didn't go that well with this look, something was off. So in the end, I decided on a pinky nude shade - the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy in "120 Desirable". One of my all-time favourites.

What will your makeup look be on New Year's Eve?

My Go-To Apple Crumble | Festive Edit.

When I think about the festive season, the smell of delicious treats come to my mind. Who is with me? Two things I love to make in December are my chocolate cookies (recipe here) and a delicious apple crumble. So today I want to share with you how I like to make mine.

Ingredients for 4-6 people
  •  4 apples of choice
  • 120g butter (unsalted)
  • 80g normal oats
  • 90g flour
  • 150g sugar (I prefer brown sugar)
  • 80g chopped almonds
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon

First, you start off by preheating the oven to around 180 degrees Celsius and then preparing the topping/crumble. You basically just stir together all the ingredients (besides the apples). It works very well when you melt the butter a bit beforehand.

Then onto the apples. Sometimes I peel and dice them, and sometimes I just cut them in the middle and take out the core and then place it with the cut side up in a pan. It totally depends on my mood. The first one takes a bit longer to prepare and the second one reminds me a bit more of baked apples.

Whatever you choose, just pop the apples in a baking pan and then pop the crumble on top. Bake them for about 20 minutes covered with some aluminium foil and continue baking it for another 20 minutes without the foil to make it all nice and golden.

I serve it with some vanilla ice cream or vanilla sauce (or both?)

Let me know if you tried this recipe!

How To Glow For The Holidays & GIVEAWAY | Festive Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Flaconi}

Today I want to talk to you about my latest obsession: Rodial Makeup! I first came across this brand through Lydia Elise Millen, as she used to rave about their contour powder non-stop. So of course, me desperately trying to look just 1% as good as Lydia does, I had to give it a go. And let me tell you, it totally exceeded my expectations.

I never was a big fan of contouring. I only really used bronzer to define my face a bit. But now I know this was because I haven't found the perfect contour powder. I even used the hyped Kevyn Aucoin one, but it just looked like dirt on my face. Others again looked way to orange. But this Rodial Contour Powder really looks like a shadow and that's it. No other weird undertones. I am obsessed and I know I will be using this forever now.

More recently I was on the hunt for a very natural highlighter. Don't get me wrong, I still adore my Champagne Pop and my Dior Nude Air but I wanted something more subtle for every day use. I remebered how subtle my countour powder is so I tried their Illuminating Powder as well. And again... I adore it! You won't get that super obvious, show-stopping highlight but you will glow in a natural looking way. So if you are looking for that, you don't have to search any further.

When Flaconi asked me if I want to choose something for a Christmas Giveaway for my readers.. I knew what to pick.
So you guys now have the chance to win the Rodial Contour Powder. Just head over to my Instagram @Lisa.Autmn and find the giveaway post. Everything will be explained there.

Good luck everyone!

xx Lisa

The Ultimate Gift Guide For Him & Her | Festive Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Notino, Charlotte Tilbury, NicheBeauty, Sudio, Daniel Wellington, Audaviv, Next UK, Loungeunderwear, IdealOfSweden, Jo&Judy and Healthish)

YAY! It's December. The best month of the year (besides October maybe). For my very first festive post, I wanted to do my annual Gift Guide for Him & Her. As this one will be pretty lengthy, I don't want to rumble on for too long.. so here we go!

Beauty
1. The Perfume
A good perfume is such a classic gift for a reason. I don't know about you, but I rarely ever buy myself a new scent but I am so thrilled about receiving one. Of course, it can also be a tricky present. But if you know some scents that the person you want to gift it to loves, just go to a sales assistant and I bet they can help you. I personally love Si Intense by Armani for Her and The Scent by Hugo Boss for Him. Amazing perfumes and for sure a safe present! If you want something a bit more expensive, but also a bit more extraordinary I highly recommend Terry de Gunzburg's Terryfic Oud. A very strong unisex scent. But you should be sure that your loved one likes this kind of scent, as it's a "love it" or "hate it"- kind of a perfume. But I LOVE IT! If you have someone who likes woody, deep, oriental scents, this one is a winner.

2. The Skincare
Luxurious skincare is something we all love, but hardly want to spend so much money on it. That's why I think high-end beauty products, including skincare, is one of the most amazing gifts you can get for him and her. Björk & Berries is one of the brands that would be perfect for that. I personally love the Cleansing Gel and the Body Serum. Another plus: it has the most gorgeous packaging. Very clean and chic.

3. The Makeup
If you have a girl or woman in your life that loves makeup: I promise you, you won't go wrong with a bit of Charlotte Tilbury under the tree. This will always be a winner! Some of my favourite products are
You can find a lot of great gifts here: CT Gifts.

Lifestyle
1. The Phone Case
Who doesn't love a fancy new phone case? I personally always feel like I have a brand new phone in my hand when I only just got a new cover. You all know I am a huge fan of Ideal of Sweden.  They have a huge selection of amazing cases (and more!) for Him & Her. Definitely worth to check out. By the way, you can use my code "lisaautumn" for 20% off.

2. The Water Bottle
If you are looking for a small gift a stylish water bottle is the way to go. I carry around my Healthish bottle everywhere. If you want to get one for yourself or gift it to someone you can use my code "LISA10" for a 10% discount. Another great present for Him & Her.

3. The Stationery
As Christmas is right at the end of the year, some new stationary is one of the best gifts you can get for someone. It's the time to organise your life so a new calendar or notebook comes in so handy. If you want something very cute and stylish I recommend Jo&Judy Stationery. I have loved their products since years and I am sure you and your loved ones will too.

Tech
1. The Earphones
I can't speak for everyone but I know tech gifts are always such a winner with the men in my life. If it's your brother, a friend, boyfriend or your dad. They all seem to enjoy a bit of technology under the tree. Of course, girls can be the same but as I said, I can only speak from my experiences. The Sudio earphones are extremely well designed but are still at a reasonable price point. A great gift for Him & Her.  You can get 15% discount with my code "lisa_autumn15".

2. The Smart Home
The same goes for Smart Home products. They are perfect for anyone in your life that loves technology. I know my boyfriend would go crazy for them. You can start with an Amazon Echo device or Philips Hue lights. It's definitely worth to look into these if you are looking for something a bit more pricey in the tech department.

Fashion
1. The Watch
Another classic gift is the watch. And can you go any more classic than a beautiful Daniel Wellington watch? I certainly would be very excited to find one of their boxes under the tree this year. You can get a 15% discount by using my code "LISAAUTUMN15". They also have a great Christmas offer where you can choose your own gift set with a watch and a cuff or a second watch strap and an additional 10% discount. The perfect time to treat yourself or someone else to this special gift.

2. The Jewellery
What would a gift guide be without any jewellery? If you have been with me for a while you know one of my favourite places to shop unique and reasonable priced jewellery is Audaviv.. you will for sure find something for a special woman in your life.

3. The Cashmere Pieces
If you are looking for a special and luxurious gift some cashmere pieces are a great idea. But they can be quite expensive. Next is the perfect place to shop these reasonably priced, yet luxurious gifts. This beige cashmere scarf and the gloves are a gorgeous gift for anyone who values quality and comfort. I am a huge fan of these.

4. The Loungewear
An easy and low priced gift is loungewear. I always get excited about a new robe or some new pyjamas as I can spend the next few days in them and relax (and eat my bodyweight in chocolate of course). This Next robe and the cashmere socks are everything I would dream of.

5. The Lingerie
A gift which is mainly for Her, but also a bit for Him is lingerie. If you want something romantic with lace or something sporty and simple, Loungeunderwear is the perfect brand for you. I already own multilple sets of their collections and they are just stunning and also stand the test of time when you wash them over and over again. I mean, just look at them.. are they not dreamy?

xx Lisa
