The highlighter of dreams - BECCA Champagne Pop.

If you remember my post about the MAC highlighter in soft & gentle a few months ago, you might remember me saying that I will forever use this one and never will need another one.. well.. I take this statement back. I still believe that it is a stunning highlighter, but I just found one that I love even more. And since then I realised a few things about soft & gentle which I never realised before.

On Black Friday last year I was browsing cult beauty and saw the hyped BECCA highlighter in champagne pop.. and I just had to try it. There are not a lot of occasions where you get 20% off BECCA products. When it arrived it was love at first sight. And suddenly I fell out of love with my soft & gentle. So I passed it on to my sister. Haha, as I said it is still a beautiful product but champagne pop is so much more me. It is more of like a gold than a pinky shade. This suits my skin colour so much more. And the biggest difference I have realised is the texture. BECCA is more an intense shimmer, much finer. MAC has actual big glitter pigments to it. I heard that the Mary-Lou Manizer by The Balm is a good dupe for the MAC one and is without the big particles. So maybe I will check this one out next.

In terms of intensity, I feel like both highlighters are on the same level. Both are really intense. So if you are not into it, it's maybe not a highlighter for you. I tried some Dior highlighter the other day which I find much more subtle, so maybe give these a try.

If you want to see me wearing the highlighter just visit my Instagram (@lisa.autumn). This is the only highlighter I wear these days.

Did you try any BECCA highlighter? Which other shade should I order next?

Asos Wishlist - Spring Dresses Edit.

Coat: Zara | Dress: Missguided

If you follow my Instagram or just take a look at my blog in general, you will know my obsession with blush and black. For me, this is the best combination. Edgy and sweet, what more could anyone want? I am currently pretty happy with my wardrobe but spring is coming soon (hopefully) and summer is also not that far away.. okay maybe I am a bit too optimistic? So I am slowly starting to look for some dresses for the warmer months.. and the first stop I always take is my beloved asos..

I have already ordered some of these. But unfortunately, I can't buy all of them at once. So I have to wait until at least next month to be able to splurge on some more. So I just really hope they will still be available by then.. (so please don't buy everything from my wishlist, okay?)

Which is your favorite? I definitely LOVE the second black dress and the fourth blush one.. dreamy!

The Spring Eyes Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Notino.de}

Here we are with another part of my Spring Makeup Series. I love a glowy base but your eye makeup can totally transform your look. From a natural and fresh day look to a smokey and sexy night look, eyes are the most powerful part of every look.

Of course, there are a million of different spring looks for your eyes but I like to keep it simple and fresh. I am personally not a big fan of glitter on my eyes (besides that eyebrow highlight.. YESSS). So the base for my eyelid is always pretty matte and neutral toned. For that, I like to use the Lancome Aquatique Base in 02 Beige Porcelaine. I actually use it all over my lids without any shadow on top. This product is waterproof and really doesn't move at all. I can imagine it being amazing under a shadow as well! I just really like that polish and natural look it gives.

For the ultimate fresh eye look, there is one thing that is way more important than your eyeshadow colour: the concealer! I have recently discovered the best duo to give me that "10 hours of beauty sleep"-look.

The First step is a smoothing primer. For my under eyes especially I like to use the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Blur Primer. Not only is the packaging to die for.. I mean seriously have you ever seen something prettier? But I just love the smoothing effect it has. I don't know if it makes your concealer last longer as mine is already pretty long lasting but I feel like it helps the concealer to sit right and also minimises any fine lines and pores. Obsessed!

As my concealer, I use the Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in 01 Light. I was always a bit scared of this concealer because as we all know the Double Wear Foundation is pretty heavy and full coverage. I love it but as a concealer, I thought it might be too much and could look very unnatural. But this one is so perfect. The only similarity to the foundation is the coverage. It gives me the most flawless under eyes but the consistency is so creamy and light.. such a dream. On those days where I want to brighten up my under eye area even more, the Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat is my secret weapon. I highly recommend the slightly pinky shade in 01 Luminous Ivory as this is the most illuminating one. On its own it doesn't give me enough coverage but of course, this varies from person to person..

Last but not least false lashes are a total must for a flirty spring look. My lashes of choice are the Ardell Demi Wispies. I have been using them for years and I can just say that they give the most natural look. Also they are budget friendly and of great quality.

What is your must have when it comes to a spring eye look?

The Spring Lips Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Flaconi}

Today I have another part of my Spring Makeup Series for you. As much as I love a bright and glowy base, lipsticks are very special to me. That's the fun part of every look.. and to me personally I also just love the look of a pretty lipstick collection on my vanity.. haha. Please tell me I am not the only one!

Anyway, back to the topic. In general, I would say my favourite kinds of lipsticks are matte ones. Especially when it comes to bolder colours. But I think spring is the perfect time for more shiny and glossy looking lips. On the other hand, it wouldn't be me if I wouldn't include at least one matte lipstick..

So let's start with the only matte one. For this category, I have chosen the Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture The Mats in 217 Nude Trouble. Nudes are a must have for me all year but especially in the springtime, I love light colours on my lips. This lipstick is one of my favourite matte formulas as it is pretty matte, but not too matte that it looks and feels drying.. the perfect in between! The lasting power is also incredible. But I would like to add that the name is a bit misleading. This is more of a muted pink colour than a nude. But still very very pretty if you want to try something else than your standard nude.

The next one is another pinky nude, but a very sheer and glossy version: Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine Oil-In-Stick in 47 Beige Blouse. This formula is a bit more spring appropriate. But because of the very moisturising oils in the lipstick, I also love it in the colder months when my lips are very dry. Of course it is not as long lasting as the matte formula but believe me.. the packaging is so stunning you are happy to get it out a few times a day to reapply!

Can you tell I am a YSL fan? Another one of their lipsticks or better said lip creams made it into my spring selection: Yves Saint Laurent Vernis A Levres Vinyl Cream in 404 Nude Pulse. I have recently gotten into lip creams, especially for spring and summer I love the creamy and light texture. The colour is another pretty nude, a bit more beige maybe and the lasting power is between the Rouge Pur Couture Mat and the Rouge Volupte Shine. So if you want a bit more colour but not the matte look then this one is a perfect choice.

This wouldn't be my blog if I wouldn't show you at least one Chanel lipstick.. so if I want a bit of Chanel on my lips in the spring time, I will most likely choose the Chanel Rouge Coco in 402 Adrienne. This is not only one of my spring faves, but I would say one of my top 3 lipsticks of all time. This shade of nude is so flattering on me, it gives enough colour without being too much and the finish is light and moisturising so that I can wear it even when my lips are not in the best state... such a dream!

I am not sure under which category you can find this product but I would just describe it as a lip tint/lipgloss: Lancôme Juicy Shaker in 142 Freedom of Peach. I have first seen this on Estee Lalonde's Youtube and fallen in love. I am normally not the biggest lipgloss fan and also peachy tones scare me a bit but this product just works for me. The colour payoff is not too much so that my lips look like a juicy subtle peach shade. But the best is the formula, it is so hard to describe but it feels so light and different on the lips. Again there are different oils in the shaker which are probably the main reason for the smoothing and calming feeling on the lips. But I definitely have to say that the colour doesn't stay on as long as I would like it to. But I guess that's just how it is with glossy and moisturising lip products.

Last but not least I have a lip care product. My lips aren't as dry in the spring time as they are in winters but a bit of extra care is always good. I have recently fallen in love with the Dior Addict Lip Scrub and just can't get enough. I use it as a preparation for any lipstick (especially the matte ones) but I also use it on casual days on its own. It is so moisturising and leaves my lips looking fabulous.

{here I am wearing Chanel Rouge Coco in Adrienne}

By the way, all of these shades and lipsticks are just perfect for the current easter time. I don't have a certain look I go for every easter but I will be surely wearing one of these beauties! Also, head over to Flaconi for a beautiful selection of products for the easter time!

Do you have a special makeup item or look which you will be wearing this easter?
Let me know!

The Spring Skin Edit.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with notino.de}

It is April, which means spring is here.. or at least kind of here. I love to give my wardrobe a nice spring clean-out every year.. and maybe also splurge on a few new cute dresses (which I will show you in another post). BUT I feel like changing your makeup and skincare is equally important.

When I think about makeup in the spring time, I see fresh and glowing skin, light colours and a natural finish. Even though this look sounds much easier than a full face of heavy makeup, it can be even harder. For a fresh and dewy look, you need the perfect base. By that, I don't mean that your skin has to be flawless. But your skin has to be in a very good condition.

1. Skincare is the number one step here. I have recently fallen in love with serums. I always thought this is an unnecessary step in my skincare routine.. but let me tell you: it totally changes the game! My serum of choice is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum.  I use it every evening and my skin looks smoother, healthier and totally glowing the next morning. And this is exactly what we are looking for.

2. The next step is a good primer. This is another one which I always thought is not really important. I have to admit, in the winter months I sometimes skip this as my skin doesn't tend to need this and my makeup lasts quite well. But with the months getting warmer I always need some extra lasting power for my makeup. This Lancome La Base Pro Primer helps your foundation to last longer and also provides a much smoother base for your foundation and makes it look even more natural and perfect.

3. Last but not least is the foundation. If you have a good skincare and primer routine, this is just the finish touch to your dewy and glowy spring look. I have very fair skin, which is also very sensitive so I tend to have quite a lot of redness especially around my nose and my cheeks. Therefore I always look for a medium coverage foundation which I can build up to a full coverage one for nights out. The problem with these foundations is that they tend to be very matte and unnatural looking. This is why I used to stick to various BB-creams, which never really gave me the coverage I wanted.. and then I found my new holy grail foundation: The Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. The perfect coverage but a luminous finish.. I am obsessed!

What are your top tips for a fresh and dewy face makeup?
