I recently got a new pair of D&G sunglasses with prescription (now I can finally see something when I am driving and want to wear sunnies haha) from the online shop Misterspex.
On their website, they have an amazing variety of glasses and sunglasses and even contact lenses. You can get the sunglasses with or without prescription. But it is not your standard eyewear webshop. Besides their incredible range of different designer glasses, they even have their own collection which is equally as stylish but is much more affordable.
When I went on their website to choose my favourite model I had to spend ages looking through all the different ones. In the end I was left with around 3 pairs that I absolutely loved. But how can one decide without trying them on?
Of course, you can always go to your local shops and look at the models and then order them online. But seriously.. who has the time? Not me. Misterspex has a service where you can order your favourite models for free, try them on and send them back and get the one you liked the most made with your prescription. How cool is that? Another thing you can do is their virtual try on service. The website uses your webcam and you can see yourself with the glasses. This way you can see if the colour and the shape suits you. And this is exactly what I did. After virtually trying on a few different pairs I decided on these Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. I wanted something classic but still statement.. so these were the perfect fit.
After I have chosen my favourite pair I went to the checkout. There you have a few different options. First of all, you have to decide if you want them with or without prescription. If you decide for the first option you are asked for the details of your prescription. If you are unsure about anything you can call their service or even get an appointment with one of their partner opticians. Again.. amazing service. After I was done with this step I had to make some decisions about the actual lenses. You can choose the standard ones (brown, green or grey) or you can even get it true to the original lens. I personally never heard of that.. amazing.
After making all the choices regarding the model and the lenses I placed the order.. and then I just had to wait. The estimated delivery time for prescription glasses is 5-13 working days. I was pleasantly surprised when they reached me after only 4 days.. YAY!
I will definitely get all my future glasses from their shop. Perfect service and so much less time consuming than going to your local optician (and of course way cheaper..). You can't ask for much more than that.
And now I would love to know about your favourite designer for sunglasses.. next on my wishlist are some Miu Miu ones.. so dreamy!
xx Lisa
