Merry Christmas & Festive Chocolate Recipe.

Today I don't have a super long post for you as most of you, myself included, are probably way too busy spending time with loved ones and eating all the good food.

One of my traditions is that I try to make something tasty and self-made to go with the actual presents every year. I made the same thing last year and as everyone loved it so much I decided to do it again for this year and share it with you guys. It is really simple and can be done in so many variations.

I begin with melting my chocolate of choice. I always use milk chocolate because I just prefer it (and I will for sure also have some haha). You will need quite a lot so one bar won't really cut it unless you do it for only one person. I always take one bar for each person I am planning to gift it to.

Then I will put some baking sheets on trays and pour the chocolate on them. The chocolate should be just as thick as a normal bar would be. Then it is time to get creative. I like to make my chocolate very festive so I add dried cranberries, crumbled spiced almond cookies (Spekulatius for my german readers) and some almonds. In the end, I drizzle some white chocolate on top to make it look more interesting. When everything is hard I break it up into uneven pieces to get the perfect self-made look. As I said you can do your own variation of it with the chocolate and the toppings you or your friend and family like. As you see, it is not rocket science.. just a cute idea.

I also just wanted to quickly wish you all a very merry Christmas and hope you are having the best day so far. I spend last night with my mom, my sister, and her boyfriend. Like every year.. haha. My boyfriend is away for work unfortunately but I will get to see him in a few days and seriously can't wait! Today I will visit my dad and his little family for dinner. Tomorrow I will just relax and will watch loads of Christmas movies.

I would love to know how your Christmas looks like every year.. or is it different each year?

Urban Decay - Black Friday Haul.

I know Black Friday feels like ages ago and considering it is almost Christmas, it kinda is ages ago. But I thought it would still be nice to show you a part of what I got that day. I went a little bit makeup crazy and got loads of new goodies. I did my main shopping at Urban Decay (online via Douglas). I know it sometimes is a scary thing to buy makeup things online when you've never seen them in person but thanks to the magic of youtube I absolutely knew what I want. Plus, I just always get the lightest foundation and concealer shade ever and it will always fit.. haha life of a pale girl. Let's discuss the pieces I got with the 20% off discount.

1. Naked Skin One & Done Foundation in "01 Light". I am a huge fan of BB Creams and I stay away from heavy coverage ones. I have a pretty dry skin with not a lot of blemishes so if I use a really heavy foundation it mostly just clings to those dry areas (especially my nose.. such a nightmare!). So this foundation did sound so perfect for me and it definitely did not disappoint. I adore the texture and the finish. Of course, it won't perfect my skin 100% but as I said that is not what I am looking for in a foundation. It looks exactly like my own skin just a little bit more even. My new go-to foundation for sure.

2. Eyeshadow Primer Potion in "Eden". I don't want to discuss this too much as everyone has their own opinion on this topic but a very big reason for this haul is that I try to switch to cruelty-free makeup. I am definitely not perfect regarding this but I try my very best. One of my favorite items I had to get rid of was my beloved MAC Paintpot. I used it as a primer but also on its own when I don't want to wear eyeshadow but I want to cover those veins and imperfections on my lid. So I had to look for an alternative. I came across the Primer Potion and noticed that they also have a "concealer like" shade. I ordered it and I really do like it. The shade is a little lighter and a little more yellowish than my old one but I think it is a good alternative.

3. Vice Lipstick in "Ex-Girlfriend". I did a huge lipstick order on Charlotte Tilbury but they were mainly matte ones and I needed a comfortable nude pink color for every day. The color shows off a little redder in real life. I mean it definitely looks good on me and my boyfriend also complimented me for my lipstick (which he normally never does haha) but that's still not really what I wanted. I might just have to keep looking for an alternative to my MAC patisserie.. do you have some suggestions?

4. Brow Tamer in "Neutral Brown". I also had to find an alternative to the Brow Drama by Maybelline. I have tried a few drugstore ones but they are all way too "much". Too much product, too much color and it just ends up looking super fake. To be honest I just bought this one because I was already doing this order and I never really heard anything about this brow gel. But I really wonder why! This is by far the best brow gel I have ever tried. It is the perfect color, the perfect brush, and just the perfect formula to give definition without looking fake. I will stick to this forever.

5. All Nighter Setting Spray. I have to admit I never have used a setting spray before and I always used to think this is so unnecessary and you can basically just spritz some water in your face haha. God have I been wrong! This makes such a difference to the finish of my makeup as well as the lasting power. My face looks less powdery and more natural after I used it and I also noticed that my concealer lasts much longer. That was something I was really struggling with before. Never without this step now. Thank god I got the big bottle!

6. Last but for sure not least: Naked Ultimate Basics Palette. If you haven't seen this on every beauty blog and in every second Instagram picture.. where have you been? This has to be the absolute IT palette at the moment and I can see why. The color are beautiful and the formula is so buttery and pigmented.. a dream! The colors come out more warm in reality, more like the second than the first picture. I am not one for a lot of eyeshadow as I like to stick to my dramatic flick and that's it. But sometimes I like a bit of definition and special in my crease and then I love a good matte shade. So this is seriously made for me. I mean look at it... insanely beautiful!

Review - Braun Satin Hair 7 Straightener.

Today I want to talk to you about my hair straighteners of choice: the Braun Satin Hair 7. I've got these in the beginning of the year, so I had these quiet a while. I always wanted one of the ultimate ghd straighteners. I mean they must be the most hyped ones on the market. After some research, though, I realized that they might be a little overhyped and decided to go for these ones. I got them for around 100 euros but at the moment you can get them for almost half the price online (amazon).

Let's start with some technical facts so we can move on to the more fun part haha. One of the biggest features which have sold it to me is the heat adjusting sensors in the panels. It basically measures the moisture in your hair and regulates the heat on its own. When you have very dry and damaged hair it will automatically lower the heat. For it to work best you can set up your own personal profile. For that, you are asked to enter your hair length (short, medium or long) and provide more information like whether or not it has been colored or bleached. This way it ensures to give you the most suitable temperature for your needs.

But do not worry, in case you want to change the temperature manually, you can! For that, you just skip the profile part and go straight to the manual heat control. The best part is, you can set up more than one profile so you can share your straightener with your sister or friend.

Overall I find this feature extremely helpful as I don't have to think about the temperature at all. It just knows what my hair needs. Besides this, there are a couple more aspects to why I love this one so much.
It has rounded edges so I can easily do a pretty wavy hairstyle. I use them for proper curls, waves or just to straighten my hair. Everything works fine. Something I am always looking for in straighteners is that the wire has to move comfortable on the main body of the straightener as I twist and turn it so much while doing my hair. And this one definitely does. I also don't find me accidently pressing any buttons while doing my hair, which happens a lot with other ones I tried so far.

I just wish it would be a little smaller and travel-friendly.. then it would be the ultimate one for me.

What straighteners do you use? I would love to read some opinions of people who own a ghd.

My Blush&Black Obsession.

If you follow my Instagram (if you don't, you can find me here), you probably know how much I adore the combination of pretty blush tones with the classic black. I don't only love it in my pictures, but also in the clothes I wear.

Christmas Gift Guide 2016.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with NEXT UK, Richmond & Finch, Sudio, Audaviv}

I don't know about you but I really got into the Christmas spirit recently. I think this is mainly because of the pretty lights in the city, but also because I started my Christmas shopping! I love to be kind of early with presents so I don't have to rush last minute. But there are always some people it is so hard to find presents for.. I really struggle with all of the males in my life I have to get presents for, like my dad or my boyfriend. That is why you will not get to see any present suggestions for them.. haha I am really sorry but how can I write a gift guide about things that I don't have a clue about?
Nevertheless, I will give you some cute ideas for girls/women, like your sister, best friend or even your mom.

My Mac lipsticks collection.

MAC used to always be my favorite lipstick brand. My first ever high-end lipstick was their "Patisserie | Lustre Finish". It was a very VERY sheer neutral pink. Unfortunately, I must have lost it at some point, that is why I can't show it to you today. I also did not rebuy it because the finish is just not mine anymore. I still really like the color but I much more prefer opaque formulas now.

Must-read - Bloom, by Estée Lalonde.

I remember the first time I watched one of Estée's videos on youtube. I was looking for swatches of mac's lipstick "crosswires" and she came up as one of the suggestions. It was exactly this video (click) She was bright and cute and I thought this bubbly sweet girl can't have a single care in the world. I subscribed to her as it was just so much fun listening to her talking about lipsticks like she does nothing else. Watching her for a few months (or.. for 3 years now) I realized that there is way more to her than just this happy blogger girl. I genuinely felt like I know her.. I admired the way she sees life and its challenges so much. So it was absolutely clear to me that I was going to buy her book. And oh my god.. I haven't cried like this because of a book and years!

Review - Bose Quiet Comfort 35.

When I like a song, and I mean REALLY like one, I have to listen to it over and over again. At the moment my absolute favorite is Closer by The Chainsmokers. I am seriously obsessed. When you are anything like me and you just can't live without your music but you don't want to drive the people around you crazy with that same song on the loop all day then you might wanna invest in really good headphones. And when we talk about really good headphones we just have to discuss Bose. And that is what this Sunday's post is going to be.. a review of the Bose Quiet Comfort 35.

Jord Woodwatch & Giveaway.

{Advertisement - This post was written in collaboration with Jord Woodwatches}

I am more than excited for today's post. Jord Woodwatches were so kind and sent me one of their incredible watches. I had admired them for so long on Instagram and once I received their E-Mail I typed YES faster than I could even think. In case you are not familiar with their brand, they design very chic and unique watches made out of different woods and Swiss movements. They sell both women's watches and men's watches.

The service and the shipping were amazing. They even adjust your watch bracelet to the required size and of course include the rest of the links in your package. It took a little more than a week to arrive which is pretty quick regarding it came all the way from the US to Germany.. so this part was really good.

Regarding the watch, I can only really tell you the most positive stuff. But I still want you to know that all my opinions are my own, Jord did not ask me to say anything. They just asked for an honest review and here it is. Looks wise it is more than stunning. In reality, I like the watch even more than on their website. The contrast between the black and the gold with the clean lines is totally up my street and makes it such a cool watch! In case you are wondering, I decided to go for the Frankie Series in Ebony & Gold.
The quality is so amazing, and the price is more than justified. Even my boyfriend was very impressed and he really cares a lot about craftsmanship when it comes to watches.
The watch itself is very light due to the material. I personally love light watches because they are so comfortable to wear and you just forget that they are even on your arm.. but if you really want a weighted watch this is not for you. (But you definitely miss out on something haha..).

In the following, I will show you the watch in a few more shots and then at the end you will get the chance to win a 75$ Gift card for Jord Woodwatches! Sound amazing? Then keep on scrolling..

Did someone say Giveaway? Yes, indeed. You can now win a 75$ Gift card for the Jord Woodwatches Onlineshop. And the best thing, all other entrants will get a 20$ Giftcard. So you will win anyway.. YAY!

The Giveaway will end on November 20th at 11:59pm. To enter you just have to follow two easy steps:

1. Hop on over to Instagram and follow me (@lisa.autumn) and Jord (@woodwatches_com)
2. Click on the following link and enter your details: https://www.woodwatches.com/gi/4283

Good luck to everyone!

My go-to highlighter - MAC Soft & Gentle.

For a very long time, I was not a big fan of highlighter. I think a lot of you can relate when I say that for a very long time I was all about that matte look. The smallest bit of shine (or "glow" as everyone calls it now) and I felt people would think my skin looks greasy. Since Kim K moved on from contouring to highlighting suddenly everyone was after that super glowy look. And what can I say... the more you see things the more you grow with them.. so here I am talking about my favorite product to give me that highlighted look.

I started off with a few different drugstore highlighters. Normally I am a big fan of drugstore makeup. Especially for mascara, I think the high-end ones can't really keep up but I guess that's a personal preference. But unfortunately, the drugstore ones just don't cut it in this category. They are either way too glittery and chunky or they don't do anything at all.

Since I had a gift voucher waiting to spend I thought I would try one of the most hyped product by MAC: Soft & Gentle. And let me tell you... I was not disappointed. Since then I use it absolutely daily. It gives me the perfect highlight without being glittery. This shade is also perfect for my skin tone. I use it under my eyebrows, down my nose, on top of my cupid's bow and obviously on top of my non-existing) cheekbones.

I would totally recommend this highlighter to everyone. But I also saw that they do a variety of shades so maybe you should just hit your next MAC store and let them try the different ones on you.

Which is your favorite highlighter? Next on my wish list is for sure Becca's champagne pop.

Ardell Demi Wispies.

I don't have the longest and definitely not the most curled lashes. So I used to spend most of my "make-up time" on making my lashes kind of visible. Another problem is that I always, and I mean ALWAYS, wear black or brown winged liner... and not the thin kind haha. So that makes my lashes even more invisible. About a year ago I invested in a high-end lash curler while I was shopping at Liberty. I thought if they can't help me I will just give up...

How not to die & The Body Book.

Since about a year I am way more conscious of what I put in my body. Before that, I was more focused on the quantity of calories I consume than the actual quality of my food. A good example here is that I would always choose diet coke over normal ones. It's no secret that you should obviously try to stay away from both. But the ingredients in the diet one are known to increase the risks of cancer but stupid me would only really care about the calories. As I got more and more interested in nutrition I started reading some books regarding a healthy and balanced diet. Today I want to talk to you about two of my current favorites.

The small shoulder bag.

I've been carrying around those big bags for years. Small bags always seemed so weird to me. Why would you limit yourself by choosing a bag that just fits your purse, your phone, keys and maybe a lipstick? Don't get me wrong. I definitely think you should only carry the stuff you (really) need during the day and as long as you are not a teacher you can leave that dictionary at home. But I think I found comfort in the thought that if I need extra space in my bag, I have it! So why have I become so obsessed with the small shoulder bags?

My Hairstory - from black to blond.

If you are like me, then you are obsessed with hairstyles, haircare and everything related to it. My mom used to make jokes about me because once I see a new shampoo or conditioner in an ad on television, I'll be sure as hell going to the shops the next day to try it out. Okay, those shampoos never really gave me that supermodel-hair but one can dream, right? But I don't really want to talk about my haircare routine in this post. If you would want to hear about that just let me know!

Whats in my bag - the medium edit.

I am a very nosey person, so I just love to see what others girls like to carry around in their bags. That is why I thought it is only fair when I show you what I carry in mine. Today I will talk about what my essentials are when I choose a medium sized bag. I think this is my most favourite kind of size when it comes to bags because I don't feel like I miss anything but I also don't get as tempted to simply pack my whole house (that backpain..).

How to find the perfect nude lipstick for you.

It is debatable if Kim K invented the nude lip (definitely true) but it is surely not debatable that it is absolutely the most versatile look of all. You can wear it casually with your daily makeup or pimp it with a smokey eye for your nights out. As easy as it sounds, it is much more complicated than that. The right shade with the right undertone will determine if you look fresh and flirty or more like a zombie. So how do you find the right nude lipstick for your complexion?

My go-to Breakfast.

So, I have this thing with food. If I find something I really really like I will eat it all the time until I get bored of it. I am not the breakfast kinda person, so if I find something I enjoy eating in the morning, I will stick to it even more. I feel like savory things don't really do anything for me in the morning, I'm all about that sweet life. But trying to be healthy and all we should stick to the good kind of sweet, right? (RIP Chocopops) My go-to breakfast is really easy to make, which is definitely a plus for those who struggle to even open their eyes before 8 am (including me here, haha).
